W.O.A Records Releases Independent No.1s Vol.2 Multi Genre Compilation Album

Independent No.1's Vol.2, the compilation album featuring over 30 of the worlds best indie bands, released on 1st November at the 6th Annual W.O.A Records India Tour in Goa.

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 10, 2013 - GOA, India -- The Independnet No.1s vol.2 main stream compilation. album, conceptualised and produced by MTV Europe Music Awards nominee and International music star Oliver Sean, was released exclusively to media on 1st November during the 6th Annual WOA Records India Tour 2013 (Goa Leg). The album is released on WOA Records International, part of the WOA Entertainment Group www.woaentertainment.co.uk

As the name suggests this is the second edition of the Independnet No.1's compilation album which was first introduced in 2009 when Vol.1 released to worldwide critical acclaim.

"I've waited five years to release the second volume of this double cd project we call the independent No.1's mainly because the album had to feature breakthrough artists from various genres" says Oliver Sean, founder of the W.O.A Entertainment Group and Record Producer of this compilation. "This album is one of a kind because we don't limit the genre of this compilation, you can hear a rock act and also get introduced to a genre as diverse as world beat on the same album"

The album was released with much celebration during the Goa leg of the 6th Annual W.O.A Records India Tour and was exclusively distributed to media covering the launch. The compilation will now be available on iTunes and other major digital stores from 15th of November onwards, followed by the hard copy CD hitting stores by the 29th of November. "We worked out the release of this album in such a way that it hits stores in time for fans to make this compilation part of their Christmas celebration playlist this year" says Wanda Alvares, Marketing Director of the WOA Entertainment Group.

The Independent No.1's Vol.2 is hoping to follow in the footsteps of the successful Goa Chillout Zone, which is also released on WOA Records and recently saw it's 5th Volume released globally, celebrating 5 years of the Goa Chillout Zone.

The 6th Annual WOA India Tour kicks off today

W.O.A Entertainment Group presents the 6th Annual W.O.A International
Music festival and India Tour 2013 today with a bang in Goa.

The tour this year features MTV Europe Music Awards Nominee Oliver
Sean, French Pop Star Eric Dulle and Australian artist Gypsy pearl.
Goa, Bangalore and Mumbai are the three main cities the artists will
be hitting on this 6th Annual WOA International Tour.

Supported by Vh1, Sofala, Fiesta, Kingfisher and WOA TV the artists
will be performing at Sofala Goa on the 31st of October, Fiesta Goa on
1st November, Bootleggers Bangalore on the 5th of November and
Wellington Gymkhana Santacruz Mumbai on the 6th of November, which
will bring this tour to a close.

The WOA TV team will be covering parts of the tour which will be
broadcast on the WOA TV show as a special episode. The tour promos can
also be watched on Vh1 starting 31st of Oct to 7th of November.

Another launch that will happen during this tour is the release of the
music awaited INdependent No.1s Vol.2 compilation CD. The main cd will
be released on the tour and the album will start appearing in stores

Episode 4 of the WOA TV Show - All Things Music is our very special 2013 6th Annual WOA International Music Festival and India Tour special. This is in anticipation of the upcoming your which starts off on the 31st of October and goes on till the 7th of November.

We kick off the show off with the tour headliner Oliver Sean and revisit the MTV EMA Nominee's 2003 music video that brought him into the limelight of the International Music Scene - his track 'I LIKE IT', which is till date the artists' most loved song. Sur scène, Éric Dulle confie sa voix à son instrument de prédilection, le saxophone.

« Fin 2011, j'ai fait une tournée en Inde, à Goa. Là-bas, ma musique est diffusée sur plusieurs radios et télévisions et on trouve mes disques chez les disquaires », raconte Éric Dulle, Coudekerquois depuis dix ans et dont on n'entend peu la musique sur les ondes du littoral. Il a créé son entreprise, «Gilnie Production » en 2006 pour maîtriser, un peu comme Prince avant lui, toute la chaîne de la production musicale : « Dans ma famille, on est musicien de père en fils. Mon père, Gilbert Dulle était professeur de saxophone à l'Académie de musique de Coudekerque-Branche. Il m'a forcé à faire de la musique mais il m'a laissé choisir mon instrument. J'ai choisi le saxophone puisque j'avais un professeur à la maison »

Jusqu'à 187 dates par an

Le vrai déclic est venu à l'adolescence, avec les cours de jazz de Roger Naert (école de musique de Dunkerque) qui lui ont permis de découvrir l'improvisation et la création : « Je fais de la scène depuis l'âge de 14 ans, j'ai fait mes premiers cachets dans les bals du Dunkerquois. Ensuite, je suis parti à Lille où j'ai joué de tous les styles : musette, free jazz, dixieland, rock, funk… J'étais trop actif. Je ne voulais pas être intermittent ! Lors de mon année record, j'ai fait 187 dates mais, en moyenne j'en fais 120 par an. J'ai joué avec James Carter et Didier Lockwood ». Éric Dulle dispose d'un studio et peut se targuer d'avoir sorti trois albums, qui mettent en valeur le saxophone à qui il confie sa voix : « C'est un mélange de reprises de musiques pop, que je réinterprète et réarrange, et de compositions ». Dans son dernier opus, il reprend « Passion » de Rod Stewart, « Come Together » de John Lennon ou encore « Billie Jean» de Michael Jackson. Ses compositions s'intitulent « Family » ou « So naïve ». On remarque l'influence des années 80 : « C'était une époque très créative. Il n'y avait pas énormément de reprises. Aujourd'hui, on prend un MP3, on chante et on se dit artiste ! »

En 2011, il a décroché un contrat de management pour trois ans en Inde avec la maison de disques WOA International. Là-bas, il s'est fait connaître sur des plateaux multi-artistes : « Je me suis retrouvé avec le groupe de métal « Overhate » du Venezuela qui a déjà ouvert des concerts de Metallica… En octobre, je repars pour une tournée en Inde puis à Dubaï avec le chanteur allemand Mathias Sturm et Oliver Sean ». Ambitieuse, sa maison de disques veut le lancer en Afrique du Nord. Éric Dulle a aussi composé la musique et les arrangements du dernier single de Noël Lagoia (la « voix » de Claude François dans « Podium »), « Boulevard Exelmans».

Talking about the top videos, Season 2 chart toppers 'Life Thru Iris' won a full fledged music video promo campaign for being voted the no.1 music video of the season by fans. Well lets get on with the premiere show of Season 3 and give you an update on the bands who made the cut for episode1. We start off today's show with truly an awesome video by UFORIA. Personally we just couldn't get enough of the way the director/editor has played around with different motion speeds keeping in sync with this alt rock song. Simple yet effective. Uforia is going to stay on your minds - guaranteed. 

The second video in the first segment of the show is Snowfall featuring J.Angell. This video has over 500,000 views on YouTube!!! A very well produced song and a video worthy of MTV we'd say. We at W.O.A Films ( www.woaproductions.co.uk ) produce a lot of music videos for Vh1 and MTV and this one has "A Class Production Value" written all over it. Snowfall is also going to be heard across major radio networks via their WOA Radio Campaign starting September 15th. Also in the works for Snowfall is a 30 minute interview with the artist that will be heard on major FM networks across the Indian Subcontinent and also online.

Australia's Diana May Clark kicks off segment 2 of the WOA TV Show Season 3 premiere with her hit single 'Sunny Daze' - LA and Venice Beach have never looked liked so much fun on an independent production ever before ;-) Now this may not be LA and/or Venice Beach but those Palm Trees and the Beach, in our opinion were a dead giveaway :-) (We could be wrong - any LA residents watching this video give us a shout out on this) - Remember the U2 video on that New York rooftop years ago? Now imagine a happier ending with all those people down on the streets coming on up and having a blast with the band :-) Oh and NO COPS ;-) This put us in a great mood.

Second part of segment two has 'Millow the Girl' in concert being a real rockstar with her song 'Beautiful World' and keeping with the Australian theme - we must tell you here that this order of videos was unintentional. We guess that when you hear Australian's making good music you just end up putting them together. Millow the Girl had us remembering INXS a bit. 'Millow the Girl' is just confirming that 'ROCK' really does come from Down Under. With company like ACDC and INXS who can argue.

The last segment of the WOA TV Show's premiere episode has Charly B. from Spain blowing us away - this is a European artist who sounds COMPLETELY like the Jamaican and Reggaeton stars. Think Seal Paul and Sean Kingston and you wont hear much of a difference in quality and style when you watch this really fun video by Sean Paul....oops we meant Charly B. :-) This guy is fantastic.

And to end our premiere episode of Season 3 we have a DUEL between Oxford Square and Nicole Taylor. A real quirky video by the artists who call themselves 'Oxford Street vs Nicole Taylor'. A 1920's style silent movie type of music video with a sunshine pop track by these dueling artists. A heads up guys watch the video right till the end and when you think its over just wait a second... we had such a laugh :-)
