WOA Artists Take Over National TV Show

Episode 5 of the Nationally Syndicated Television Show 'ALL THINGS MUSIC' (Season 4) features brand new WOA International Roster.

Her music is an enchanting cocktail mix that recreates the elegant retro style of nightclub shows of the ‘40s and '50s, but with a sophisticated modern musical sheen and just a twist of flirtatiously naughty humor. International Indie Label WOA Records signs its first ever Tamil artist

WOA Records to introduce Malaysian based Tamil composer Dr Pasupathi to fans worldwide with new world beat album

W.O.A International - Mar. 15, 2014 - PANAJI, India - W.O.A Records, part of the W.O.A Entertainment Group, has announced the signing of Malaysian based artist Dr. Pasupathi, the first ever Tamil Composer/Musician to be signed to the elite WOA Records International Artist Roster.

W.O.A International - The Music Company started out its label division WOA Records primarliy as a World Music label with several of the label's releases hitting the charts and receiving several worldwide nominations. The label then went on to expand into mainstream genres like Rock and Pop. The signing of Dr. Pasupathi and the upcoming release of the artists full length Tamil album as a world music album globally brings WOA Records' fundamental strength as a world music label back in the forefront.

Tamil is the language that comes from the southern most part of India, mainly Chennai formerly also known as Madras. One of the world's biggest original Tamil musicians is the world famous A.R Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire), which led to a lot of interest in the region and the discovery of fantastic composers and singers who originally write in Tamil. Dr. Pasupathi's new album confirms that the region continues to produce amazing music and language is indeed no barrier at all.

"Signing a Tamil based artist to the WOA Artist Roster is a step in the right direction for W.O.A Records especially the world music division of the label" says Oliver Sean, Founder, W.O.A Entertainment Group, "our company has always put music first, no matter which part of the world and what language the music and songs are recorded in. Dr. Pasupathi's music on this new album and the top class production and musicians who have come together on this album promises to break all barriers internationally for this artist"

Dr Pasupathi's musical ventures started off in his teens when he was involved as a DJ in various clubs in Kuala Lumpur. While studying to be a Doctor, he managed to juggle between weekly gigs and studies. Inspired by Michael Jackson, AR Rahman, Ilayaraja and Harris Jayaraj, the diversity of Indian cinema music and the increasing fusion of Western musical elements, his compositions eventually started having a unique sound his very own that combimned his love of Tamil music and his Malaysian roots, this very unique sound can be heard on his brand new album 'Reenggaram'.

Reenggaram literally means 'tune that keeps repeating in ears'. The album features 10 songs composed by Dr. Pasupathi collaborating with world famous singers from South India who are renowned film playback singers for Bollywood and Tollywood (the Tamil Film Industry).

“I Enjoyed working together with the accomplished singers to bring out the best in this album" says Dr. Pasupathi, Composer & Musician, “I did not want to follow the typical cinema music styles entirely, instead, Indian and Malaysian musical elements were fused to come up with some unique sounds

The first single from the album titled 'Kannil Thondrum' was recently premiered on the WOAFM99 Radio Show and received rave reviews, fans of the show from the US and the UK were intrigued by the song and the station received several requests for the track to be played again, a confirmation that language is no barrier when it comes to good music in any part of the world.

Dr. Pasupathi's album will be available in India and worldwide on WOA Records and also across major mobile networks in the Middle East and North Africa. The artist will also be featured on the WOA TV Show - All Things Music..

Mar. 7, 2014 - PANAJI, India -- W.O.A International – The W.O.A Records Management roster boasts of some of the worlds biggest Independent metal bands being signed to the WOA roster through the years, including Russia’s No.1 metal band ANG, United Kingdom’s Metal stars Cypher 16, Venezuelan Thrash Metal stars Overhate from Venezuela and now joining this creed of record breaking Rock Metal Bands is Costa Rica’s 4 piece Metal Band – NAGMAH.

Scheduled to headline the 7^th Annual WOA Records India Tour on 31^st October 2014, Nagmah is getting all set to regal rock and metal fans live across India followed by concerts scheduled across Dubai.

Nagmah was formed in July 2003 in Costa Rica, South America. Right from the start, Nagmah wanted to be original not only with their music but also with the genre they were into. The band experimented with Metal Rock and Power Metal among other genres to finally have the unique rock sound that Nagmah is now known for. The band was formed by Jose P. Calvo and Jose Soto and since 2005 the 4-piece band has stayed together with Mónica Villanueva on vocals and keyboards, Jose Soto on guitars, Jose P. Calvo on bass and Roy Ross on drums with guest musicians joining in on lead guitar.

Aside from headlining and performing at various national events across Cost Rica, the band has also performed at various International events including Costa Rican national music festivals like the ‘Diablo Fest’, ‘Mujeres de Metal’ and ‘Rock en el Farolito; Mutilation Metal Fest in Nicaragua and Honduras,Festival Rock sin Fronteras in Panama and the band were also selected to be the support band for Paul Di’Anno during his international concert in 2006 and also opened for Arturo Huizar in Costa Rica in 2009.

Nagmah released their first album “Diva Mortis” in 2009. That same year, “El Maleficio del Lindero” from their debut album was included in a compilation called “Story from Heaven” which had top International metal bands from Brazil, France, Finland, and Italy.

W.O.A Entertainment Group’s strong infrastructure that includes W.O.A Records, W.O.A Films, the WOA TV Show, WOAFM99 Radio Show, WOA International Music Publishing, WOA Artist Management and the W.O.A Annual India and Dubai tours will support Nagmah to break into the Asia, Middle East and North Africa regions with the right support that the band of this quality needs, allowing Nagmah to capture the strong metal scene across the region.

Nagmah has already been featured on a 30-minute national radio interview via the WOAFM99 Radio Show and are scheduled for Television appearances with a TV Special planned on the WOA TV Show in November 2014.

W.O.A International - The Music Company announces the signing of Guatemalan alternative band 'Tiananmen'.

W.O.A Records via its International division has announced the addition of Guatemala’s Alt-Rock band Tiananmen to the WOA Artist roster and confirmation of the band’s performance at the 7^th Annual WOA Records India Tour & International Music Festival in Goa this October.

Goa, India – 4th March. 2014 -– South American pop rock bands are fast becoming one of the world’s most sought after artists when it comes to the International music scene. And keeping up with its reputation of introducing the best indie bands to fans across India and Dubai, WOA Records through its International division, W.O.A International – The Music Company, has recently announced the signing of Guatemalan band Tiananmen.

Tiananmen is scheduled to headline the 7^th Annual WOA International Music Festival in Goa on 31^st October followed by a full-scale tour across the major cities across India where fans in the region can experience first hand ‘Tiananmen’ Live in Concert.

“Finding great live bands in today’s music scene is a difficult task and when you discover a class act like Tiananmen it’s a treat to fans worldwide ” says Wanda Alvares, Executive Vice President and Marketing Director, W.O.A International. “With the signing of Tiananmen to the WOA Roster, fans across India and Dubai are indeed in for a treat”.

Tiananmen is a three-piece Guatemalan band consisting of Luis Fernando Rojas on guitars, Sergio “el Tula” Solares on Bass and Juan Carlos Rojas on synthesizers and vocals. This alternative trio’s style of music is a mix of new wave, indie, electronic and rock. The three musicians have been together as Tiananmen since 1992.

“We have recently released our newest album ‘Emisor’, with three of the singles from the album playing on local radio and with music videos from the same album now being broadcast not only in Guatemala, but also worldwide including featured slots on the ground breaking WOA TV Show – All Things Music Season 3 and Season 4” says front man of the band Juan Carlos Rojas, “Our music comes from deep within our soul, we have fun making it and we always try to innovate, creating different music”.

Tiananmen’s first album was ‘Mu’ way back in 1994, followed by the hit EP called ‘Dios Salve La Reina’ in 1998, a second EP called ‘Touché’ was released in 2011 and their latest album is ‘Emisor’ which was released in 2013.
