Coudekerque-Branche: Éric Dulle, le «Prince» du saxophone qui fait fureur en Inde
Sur scène, Éric Dulle confie sa voix à son instrument de prédilection, le saxophone.« Fin 2011, j'ai fait une tournée en Inde, à Goa. Là -bas, ma musique est diffusée sur plusieurs radios et télévisions et on trouve mes disques chez les disquaires », raconte Éric Dulle, Coudekerquois depuis dix ans et dont on n'entend peu la musique sur les ondes du littoral. Il a créé son entreprise, «Gilnie Production » en 2006 pour maîtriser, un peu comme Prince avant lui, toute la chaîne de la production musicale : « Dans ma famille, on est musicien de père en fils. Mon père, Gilbert Dulle était professeur de saxophone à l'Académie de musique de Coudekerque-Branche. Il m'a forcé à faire de la musique mais il m'a laissé choisir mon instrument. J'ai choisi le saxophone puisque j'avais un professeur à la maison »
Jusqu'Ã 187 dates par an
Le vrai déclic est venu à l'adolescence, avec les cours de jazz de Roger Naert (école de musique de Dunkerque) qui lui ont permis de découvrir l'improvisation et la création : « Je fais de la scène depuis l'âge de 14 ans, j'ai fait mes premiers cachets dans les bals du Dunkerquois. Ensuite, je suis parti à Lille où j'ai joué de tous les styles : musette, free jazz, dixieland, rock, funk… J'étais trop actif. Je ne voulais pas être intermittent ! Lors de mon année record, j'ai fait 187 dates mais, en moyenne j'en fais 120 par an. J'ai joué avec James Carter et Didier Lockwood ». Éric Dulle dispose d'un studio et peut se targuer d'avoir sorti trois albums, qui mettent en valeur le saxophone à qui il confie sa voix : « C'est un mélange de reprises de musiques pop, que je réinterprète et réarrange, et de compositions ». Dans son dernier opus, il reprend « Passion » de Rod Stewart, « Come Together » de John Lennon ou encore « Billie Jean» de Michael Jackson. Ses compositions s'intitulent « Family » ou « So naïve ». On remarque l'influence des années 80 : « C'était une époque très créative. Il n'y avait pas énormément de reprises. Aujourd'hui, on prend un MP3, on chante et on se dit artiste ! »
En 2011, il a décroché un contrat de management pour trois ans en Inde avec la maison de disques WOA International. Là -bas, il s'est fait connaître sur des plateaux multi-artistes : « Je me suis retrouvé avec le groupe de métal « Overhate » du Venezuela qui a déjà ouvert des concerts de Metallica… En octobre, je repars pour une tournée en Inde puis à Dubaï avec le chanteur allemand Mathias Sturm et Oliver Sean ». Ambitieuse, sa maison de disques veut le lancer en Afrique du Nord. Éric Dulle a aussi composé la musique et les arrangements du dernier single de Noël Lagoia (la « voix » de Claude François dans « Podium »), « Boulevard Exelmans».
