W.O.A International – The Music Company signs Basa Princess to Artist Management Roster

Basa Princess Saydah to burst into International markets of India and Dubai via artist management deal with W.O.A Entertainment Group.

W.O.A International - 26 June, 2014 - W.O.A Entertainment today announced the signing of rising singing star Saydah to its International Artist Roster. The Artist, originally a Basa princess from Liberia, has been storming the Radio and Television waves across the US with her latest release Bound2Break. The artist management deal with W.O.A Entertainment is set to open up the world markets inckuding India and Dubai for Saydah.

"Saydah is a special talent and not only is she a fantastic singer, songwriter and performer but she is also an established model and actress" says Oliver Sean, MTV Europe Music Awards 2012 Nominee & Founder of The W.O.A Entertainment Group, "I have had the pleasure of speaking to Saydah on my WOAFM99 Radio Show and we also featured her music video on the Syndicated WOA TV Show – All Things Music, the response we received for Saydah's music has been phenomenal to say the least".

Born in Liberia West Africa and now living in Los Angeles California, Saydah is originally a Basa Princess. Considered a child prodigy by some at the age of 7, she professionally began doing performances at age 16 when she was scouted by Ian Burke (TLC) of Green House Management (Atlanta, GA). She has since then worked with some of the music industry's biggest names including  Kevin Black and Michael Holden who was part of Stevie Wonder's team and also producer for Coolio's 'Gangsta's Paradise' (A&R Records and Warner Bros), Preston Glass (Whitney Houston's song writer) and various others.

"Being a Basa Princess from the Basa tribe has allowed me to perceive the world in a unique light" says Saydah, "that light is what I strive to bring with me every time I sing and write".

Saydah's song 'Bound2Break' has recently been included in the global compilation Independent No.1's Vol.3 (W.O.A Records) and the artist is scheduled to perform Live in India on the 7^th Annual W.O.A International Music Festival and W.O.A Records India Tour 2014. Saydah's acoustic album 'MeLee Madness' will be available on major Mobile networks across India and Dubai and the album is expected to hit A Class record stores in India next month.

Jazz star Laura Ainsworth, daughter of legendary big band musician Bill Ainsworth, signs on to the elite W.O.A International Artist Roster for exclusive management across India and Dubai

Joining this star studded artist list today is American Alternative Jazz's rising star Laura Ainsworth.

Breaking out of the traditional Jazz mould, Laura Ainsworth is in a class of her own and championing a genre that mainstream radio has struggled to come to terms with. Not only did Laura Ainsworth manage to get her music accepted by mainstream radio, she went on to be one of Indie music's most played jazz artist on International Radio.

Her late father, Bill Ainsworth, was a renowned big band musician and arranger and possibly the youngest member of the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, backing Frank Sinatra at just 17. As a young girl, Laura was inspired watching her dad accompany legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme and Marilyn McCoo. She attributes both music and humor becoming a big part of her life because of her Dad.

"You can keep those pop divas, the only one for me is Laura Ainsworth...a wonderful modern interpreter of the Great American Songbook, as well as thoroughly modern styles." said INSIDE Magazine of Laura's debut album 'Keep it to yourself''. Another publication, Jazz Corner, says that Laura Ainsworth's debut album "weaves past and present with stunning power."

Laura creates, produces and performs her own fully-realized, live musical shows that have become known for her gorgeous voice, her unique sense of humor and her trademark elbow-length satin gloves and beaded gowns. Her music is an enchanting cocktail mix that recreates the elegant retro style of nightclub shows of the ‘40s and '50s, but with a sophisticated modern musical sheen and just a twist of flirtatiously naughty humor. It’s an intoxicating blend that has attracted some of the top jazz players in Texas to her side, including longtime partner Brian Piper, one of the most sought-after pianists/producers in the Southwest.

Laura's second album 'Necessary Evil' features classics from the 1920's to modern day hits with the album receiving rave reviews in the US. The single 'Out of the World' from the album was selected by the global compilation Goa Chillout Zone Volume 5 (WOA Records) in 2011.
