The W.O.A Booking Agency brings Swedish punk rock to India
Goa, India – 20th Sep, 2009 – The booking agency roster of W.O.A International is growing rapidly with International artists worldwide signing on to break into the Indian market that is opening up to Independent music and one of the latest signings by W.O.A International is Monica & the Explosion from Sweden, a one woman band that plays hard core punk rock all on an acoustic guitar.

Monica and The Explosion also represented Sweden at World Championships of Performing Arts 2008 in Hollywood U.S. and recieved two silver medals as a solo rock artist with self accompaniment.

September 2, 2009 – His first nomination at the Underground Music Awards, Guyanese artist Michael Sparkey Drakes was honored with the award for Best Reggae/Dancehall Artist of 2009. Sparkey has been working hard to get recognition for his music. W.O.A International releases the second volume of their successful GCZ compilation CD series with percentage of sales pledged towards animal welfare.
Goa, India – Aug 12, 2009 – W.O.A International proudly announces the launch of the second volume in the Goa Chillout Zone Compilation CD collection. With the first volume in this collection going platinum, several songs from the compilation were picked up by labels like Universal music and various film and TV series. This years release comprises of 26 world artists from both the company's record label W.O.A Records as well as unsigned acts. Keeping with the theme and format of volume 1 this compilation also is an eclectic double CD bringing together some of the very best artists in independent music today.
