W.O.A Records via its International division has announced the addition of Guatemala’s Alt-Rock band Tiananmen to the WOA Artist roster and confirmation of the band’s performance at the 7th Annual WOA Records India Tour & International Music Festival in Goa this October.
Goa, India – 4th March. 2014 -– South American pop rock bands are fast becoming one of the world’s most sought after artists when it comes to the International music scene. And keeping up with its reputation of introducing the best indie bands to fans across India and Dubai, WOA Records through its International division, W.O.A International – The Music Company, has recently announced the signing of Guatemalan band Tiananmen.
Tiananmen is scheduled to headline the 7th Annual WOA International Music Festival in Goa on 31st October followed by a full-scale tour across the major cities across India where fans in the region can experience first hand ‘Tiananmen’ Live in Concert.
“Finding great live bands in today’s music scene is a difficult task and when you discover a class act like Tiananmen it’s a treat to fans worldwide ” says Wanda Alvares, Executive Vice President and Marketing Director, W.O.A International. “With the signing of Tiananmen to the WOA Roster, fans across India and Dubai are indeed in for a treat”.
Tiananmen is a three-piece Guatemalan band consisting of Luis Fernando Rojas on guitars, Sergio “el Tula” Solares on Bass and Juan Carlos Rojas on synthesizers and vocals. This alternative trio’s style of music is a mix of new wave, indie, electronic and rock. The three musicians have been together as Tiananmen since 1992.
“We have recently released our newest album ‘Emisor’, with three of the singles from the album playing on local radio and with music videos from the same album now being broadcast not only in Guatemala, but also worldwide including featured slots on the ground breaking WOA TV Show – All Things Music Season 3 and Season 4” says front man of the band Juan Carlos Rojas, “Our music comes from deep within our soul, we have fun making it and we always try to innovate, creating different music”.
Tiananmen’s first album was ‘Mu’ way back in 1994, followed by the hit EP called ‘Dios Salve La Reina’ in 1998, a second EP called ‘Touché’ was released in 2011 and their latest album is ‘Emisor’ which was released in 2013.
With the infrastructure that W.O.A Records and W.O.A International – The Music Company offers International bands and musicians along with support from the entire W.O.A Entertainment Group and its properties including The Annual WOA India Tour & Festival, the WOA TV Show, The WOAFM99 Radio Show, the Goa Chillout Zone & Independent No.1’s compilations etc, bands like Tiananmen can make a global impact with their partnership with the label.
