A letter from Jesus Aaron - a W.O.A Artist.

irst it's odd to accuse other people of being cowards when you're not
even revealing who you are. I have personal letters from all the members
of Mana 3 saying they aren't writing this and conveying personally they
wouldn't say these types of things about me.

Now, you're forcing me to point something out here:
It may seem a scam to the individual because he has investments beyond
what he payed WOA directly: but do the math from their side. Which, by the
way, is what every intelligent being has to do when dealing with a
conflict. If you have any maturity at all you have to consider things from
the other side's point of view as well as your own.

I.What the artists gave WOA
-8 artists/bands x $850 which is what we each paid WOA though some paid
less I think we'll just assume everyone paid them this for this example =
$6,800
-Enhancement to the reputation of WOA by participating in the tour

II. What the artists were given by WOA includes:
-3 40 foot billboards promoting the show with your face on them (don't
know how much they cost in India, but it can't be cheap, I know in the
states you're looking at well over $6,800 right there)
-TV ads, with your face on them, I'm told running on quite a few channels,
and yes I did see one of them while randomly watching tv (on one of the
biggest movie channels in India). Do the math on those running 10 times a
day on several channels (probably for a week)
-I also personally saw mentions in about 7 or 8 newspapers, some of the
biggest in India. I know all the artists (even those that didn't stay on
the whole time saw mentions in 4 newspapers).
-Radio Interview on one of the biggest radio stations in India, Radio
Indigo promoting both yourself and your music and the tour.
-3, 4, and 5 Star hotel accomodation for approximately 3 weeks (regardless
of whether WOA paid or their sponsors paid it was provided for the
artists).
-While the 45 days aren't up yet, time will tell, every artist who has
maintained good relations with the management will likely get their $400
(I know Sparky got money early because of the theft of his personal
belongings).
-I just got back and must get in touch with them, but they've promised and
I think they will live up to it, to get pictures and video footage of all
the events I played in, which were well staffed and the stage setup was
professional.
-If you've ever run a tour (whether or not you think you can do it more
competently is irrelevant) the amount of time invested in organization of
all this and paying staff and whatever has to be huge.
-A good press conference at a nice hotel was also provided.
-Local TV interview and show about us aired on HCN (a small tv station)
-They also gave free breakfast every morning to 12 people. And probably
another odd 100 free meals in total. As well as quite a few free rides to
and from various press conferences, shows, and such.
-Also, they were able to get my music video on the biggest tv music
stations over there, and I've had independent fans confirm having seen
them in rotation.
-On top of this we all got the opportunity to play music in India and see
a lot of really inspiring things and meet a lot of cool people. WOA does
deserve some credit for this as well.

So... that's from their side (at least the visible costs they've spent).
Look at the Math. Are they making out like bandits here?

Now... that being said. We didn't get as much as the website alluded to
and I can understand why some of the artists are upset. To anyone
considering going on the tour be aware that as an individual you will have
to invest a lot more than you pay them directly. Whether or not that
amount is worth what you get out of it is for you to decide as a business
person. I was able to keep my expenses a good bit lower than many of the
bands, so, for me, so long as I get the promised promotional materials
from the tour, it will have been worth it. And, if the shows they're
working on securing for me in December do come through at very good rates
per show, I'll be ahead from all this. People who want to complain that
they put alot into this thing and it didn't work out should understand
that WOA spent a lot of money too and probably a ton more than you as an
individual. Promotional tours tend to be money losers. They're designed
for future gains. If you don't see a future with the company and make war
with them it's a total loss and that leaves people bitter. I did what I
could to help things work for everyone while I was there. To whoever is
hiding behind someone else's identity and writing absurd things about me,
I still love you.

Much Love to yous reading this as well and particularly to my fellow
artists on the tour. If any of you are ever coming through Atlanta, let me
know and I'll try to help you out with whatever you need.

Be Ever in Bliss,
Jesus Aaron

BEWARE of MANA3 - a band of crooks duping Promoters and unsuspecting music lovers by calling themselves touring musicians.

After the fantastic coverage of the W.O.A Records India Tour we must say that the only artists who were the real artists on tour and who went ahead with all shows were Jesus Aaron, Sparky Quano and Oliver Sean. They were creative and made the best use of this fantastic opportunity we provided them.

Sadly for W.O.A Records, the selection committee for choosing the bands on this tour did a very bad job by selecting the following artists: Mana3, Cuca Moreno, Xiren and DaveJ

Not only were most of these people karaoke singers, the band Mana3 were singing along to backup tracks that even had vocals on them and the “drummer” (who thinks he is a drummer) plays along to the drums that are already on a backup track – nothing is live and the only thing they do is mime along to a backup song coming from their laptop – their singer mimes along to a recorded voice. This so called band was the most unprofessional group of people and we are embarrassed to say that they ran a bill of several thousand rupees and left it unpaid.

A note to all promoters and event managers and club owners – beware of these artists who are the most unprofessional group of people and beware of the band Mana3 – these are definitely rogues in disguise of musicians.

A special note to all promoters in India – these artists especially MANA3 are still under contract with W.O.A's Management division. If any promoter in India hires these artists they will be sued as per our contract with these people. Mana3 also has a police complaint filed against them, consequences of which should be obvious to all promoters in India.

We must say that even though we got immense coverage and great reviews for the artists who remained on tour and did a great job of using the time in India to their benefit, we were disappointed with the selection committee of the tour due to the fact that they did a horrible job of selecting these rogues who came and created havoc and a mess for everyone else here. Instead of using the time to promote themselves and working with us, all they did was gossip about W.O.A, complain 24 hours, abuse people in the company and even wait for us to feed them. As we have stated before – Mana3, Xiren, Cuca Moreno and DaveJ and others like them are not Musicians but free loaders and troublemakers and this is a note to all promoters. They are a shame to the Independent music industry and all they do is gossip and have a lot of time on hand to gossip and spread rumors since they have nothing else to do.

W.O.A Records is the only company that has opened the markets here to Independent musicians and we will not allow crooks like Mana3 to run down our company and ruin opportunities for other Independent musicians. As is evident, W.O.A International is the only company that goes out of its way to help open these markets for Independent musicians. We are not promoters – W.O.A is a media group consisting of a record label, management firm, production studios and event management co. Every artist signed to us has a support system that no other company will provide – this we do because we believe that Independent musicians should have a platform across the world. This is just the beginning of an Independent music revolution in this part of the world and as is common in every kind of revolution there will always be rogues and crooks like MANA3 and the like who will try to stop it and pull it down due to their frustrations of not being talented enough to make it in the music world and go about doing whatever they can to ruin chances for the true musicians. A note to all our esteemed artists and to great independent musicians who believe in us and our efforts to support you here – we are committed to our beliefs in supporting Independent musicians.

Oliver Sean & Mark Rocha on Radio Indigo

Oliver Sean and Mark Rocha having a blast at the Radio Indigo station during the 'One On One interview with Oliver Sean' on the 28th of April - the day before the mega W.O.A Records India Tour concert in Goa on the 29th of April 2008 which was a huge success.

Oliver Sean to enthrall audiences at the Candle Light rally on World Earth Day

Panaji, April 21: On the occasion of World Earth Day, celebrated worldwide on April 22, Big 92.7 FM will be addressing key issues concerning the environment while increasing awareness on matters of global concern such as fuel conservation, water conservation, global warming, etc.

In an effort to increase awareness, Big 92.7 FM will hold a massive signature campaign across the state over the next three days, says a press note issued here. In addition a candlelight rally will be held on the evening of April 22 to coincide with World Earth Day, starting from Kala Academy and winding it̢۪s way to the municipal garden in Panjim.

After the rally, Goa's ace music artist Oliver Sean will enthrall audiences with a special unplugged performance at the Panjim municipal garden.

Global Warming is a serious concern today. Spreading awareness about the ill effects of global warming and finding ways to reduce its effects is the only solution to this growing concern.

Big 92.7 FM is spearheading this cause with the signature campaign where people will be educated about various ways in which they can help reduce the constant damage being done to the environment. People will be encouraged to pledge their support through this campaign, which will then be presented to the Government of Goa.

Commenting on this initiative, Ms Manisha Tripathi, station head, Big 92.7 FM, Goa, said, â€Å“We’re proud to partner with the Department of Science, Technology and Environment and Goa Energy Development Agency, on this initiative.”
